Hope all is well with you guys. I’m giving you guys a couple more functional movements, that help you keep you all active, mobile, and strong.
Now, the first movement is a bit more advanced. Kneeling single leg squat into a pistol squat. This takes a lot of balance, focus, and strength. Loads up the quads while Strengthen the ankle and foot complex. The ankle and foot complex is important to our everyday activities, so it’s essential to make sure those muscles/joints stay strong and flexible.
Next, this also can be a bit advanced for people starting out. Kettlebell swing, front to back lunge. I like this exercise. It splits the body into halves so we go work the individual sides of the body. It’s important to work the body in half’s, for we all dominate one side. Preferably whatever hand we write with, is usually the side we dominate the most. Splitting the body in half will expose the weaker side, forcing that side to get stronger and catch up to the opposite side. Add these to your warm up. Great way to get the heart rate and makes a good dynamic warm up.
Lastly, the deadlift. The deadlift isn’t my best primary lift. Guys that are tall usually struggle with the deadlift. That’s no excuse at all. Practice, practice, dedication, and more practice. I will conquer this lift. Do you want to get strong? Do you want to put on some good size?you want a defined strong back.? Deadlifts are where it’s at. My least favorite exercise, but it’s one of the most effective in functional movements, building strength, size, and power.
I’m not here to get you but assist you
